Tips for Laytown Races

A truly unique event in the Irish Horse Racing calendar, the track is situated on Laytown beach in County Meath. The first recorded race meeting at the venue was in 1868 and it’s the only race event run on a beach under the Rules of Racing. It takes place just once a year in September which we’ll have tips for.

Course: The track is almost straight with races only run over 6 and 7 furlongs.

Draw Bias: Stalls have only been used over the last 3 years, meaning there is only 18 race to go on. But 14 of those races have been won by horses drawn between stalls 1-6, so that’s something for our tips to consider.

Races: There are no big races as such, in 2018 the most valuable race is worth €9,240 to the winner.
