York ITV outsiders on Saturday: ‘Irish raider good value at 25/1 in the Melrose’

Nakeeta beats Flymetothestars in the 2017 Ebor

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out two horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV at York Racecourse on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the day, and remember, always bet responsibly.

2.25 York

Jessica Harrington has a couple in this including Going Remote who is the mount of Colin Keane but I’m more interested in Mo Ghille Mar (25/1), who ran them ragged on the front end at Killarney last time and might get it soft out in front here. Granted it was only a tactical little affair with four runners but there was a lot to like about the way she hit the line and a 6lb higher mark across the water isn’t too bad. I expect her to run a big race.

3.35 York

Kevin Ryan’s Forza Orta (66/1) has crept into the Ebor and his run in the Stayers’ Handicap during the week can be forgiven as he got no run on the rail under Hollie Doyle and was then eased down for a finish. This is obviously so much tougher but he’s well treated on the pick of his form and he stays further than this so he could hit the frame at a huge price.

4.10 York

With Richard Fahey in flying form at the moment, Admiral D (40/1) could outrun his odds. He ran an eyecatching race on his first run in a while when a close sixth at Haydock this month which should put him spot on for this, and any easing of the ground would be in his favour.
