Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds at Wexford in Ireland on Wednesday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
Top weight Renard De Noir can outrun his large odds on what will be his second start in handicap company. Far from disgraced when eighth behind Down Memory Lane who was third to Caldwell Potter in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown at Christmas, he was always going to be one for handicaps. He disappointed over 2m5f at Downpatrick this month but cheekpieces go on for the first time and he’s back down in trip. He might surprise.
Darcy’s Friend is another potential improver for the switch to handicaps in division two of the 2m1f handicap hurdle. Pulled up behind subsequent Grade 2 winner Mirazur West in a Fairyhouse maiden hurdle in January, he is likely to prove to be a totally different proposition in this company, starting out off a workable mark of just 89. The yard haven’t had a winner yet this season but it would be no surprise to see the money come for this lad.
Trainer Declan Queally is a dab hand at improving a horse and Don’t Matter Now deserves a crack at this. He looked a decent horse in the making when second in a Cork maiden hurdle in 2021, but clearly had his issues as he didn’t run under rules for about three years. He would have won a hunter chase when last seen if his saddle didn’t slip and might surprise here.
