It was another great day for followers of myracing on Saturday as we hit the back of the net with a tasty 20-1 acca winner. In the 1.15 at Newmarket, Lead Artist was given a beautiful ride by Kieran Shoemark and advised at 3/1, he got the acca off to the perfect start. He had stiff opposition in the shape of the progressive Liberty Lane, but the son of Dubawi was pushed to the front nearing the furlong pole and went away to win the Group 3 in style for a finish. Excellent start indeed.
Next up was Delacroix in the Autumn Stakes at 2.25 Newmarket and he had to work a lot harder than Lead Artist to get the job done under Ryan Moore. Nonetheless, he again got the job done at 15/8 odds, seeing off Stanhope Gardens by a neck in a thrilling finish. He was strongly pressed all the way to the line but showed a great attitude to get it done.
Finally, in form Charlie Appleby won the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes at 3.00 Newmarket with favourite Shadow Of Light. Sent off evens, he got the better of Expanded by a neck and stablemate Ancient Truth was another neck behind in what was a majestic race. That brought the 20/1 winning acca up to our follower’s delight and our great run of form this month continues.
