Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday and they form a treble.

First Conquest is a former course winner and the globetrotter landed a Meydan hat-trick in fine fashion in January. He has run well in defeat in three starts since, beaten only two lengths in the Rose of Lancaster Stakes at Haydock when last seen and he’s a must for horses for courses lovers today.
Distant Storm was a hefty purchase at €1,900,000 and looked the part when landing a maiden here at Newmarket in July when beating Constitution River and improved again when bolting up in the Tattersall Stakes here last time. He hails from a top yard who tend to come to proper form at this time of the year and he definitely rates as the one to beat.
Northern Ticker won over C&D in August and he remained in form when last seen finishing sixth of 25 in a 6f handicap at Ayr three weeks ago from 2lb out of the weights. He has to enter the discussion off his right weight this time.
