We have four meetings to look forward to across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday but we have come across a nice statistic that could be of use at Carlisle Racecourse. Trainer Harry Derham is a perfect 3-3 at Carlisle this season and he holds two big chances to look forward to.
You can find all of our free horse racing tips on the website and our Nap of the Day in particular has been in brilliant form the last couple of months. Let’s discuss the stat in more detail now below.
Purchased for £120,000 as a 4yo, Lasko Des Obeaux is a half-brother to high-class chaser Haddex des Obeaux and he finished runner-up on his sole outing in Irish points last March. Sent off favourite for his rules debut at Chepstow over hurdles in November, he finished second on the day. He was then disappointing when a remote third behind a 300-1 winner at Exeter but the promise of better ground here should see him in a much better light. It would be no surprise to see him go off a warm order for what is a winnable contest.
In the 2m3f mares’ novices’ hurdle, Rosie Mahler has outstanding claims too. Closely related to dual bumper winner and decent hurdler Favour And Fortune, she caught the eye on debut when finishing second to a 28-1 surprise winner at Uttoxeter, staying on well but meeting some trouble at the last hurdle. She is another who might improve for some better ground and given she wasn’t that strong in the betting on that occasion, perhaps much more will be expected of her here.
