2.25 Newbury

Now with Alan King, Emitom won a Grade 2 over hurdles earlier in his career and he impressed on debut for his new yard, albeit from a much lower mark over track and trip in March. He is still thrown in on the pick of his old form.

2.50 Clonmel

The day we have all been waiting for is upon us and that is the return of the mighty Allaho! Willie Mullins’ star chaser is a front-runner who obliterated some top notch fields when last seen in the spring of 2022, culminating in a second Ryanair Chase win at the Cheltenham Festival. He then won the Punchestown Gold Cup and if he’s ready, he wins this!

7.30 Chelmsford

Storm Catcher has failed to finish outside of the first two in four starts here at Chelmsford, winning three times. He jumped up to a mark of 91 as a consequence of winning at Newcastle on his penultimate start and has since been dropped a pound for a below-par effort in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket. You can ignore that run as all of his winning has been done on an artificial surface and a big run could be on the cards.
