Although a few showers are forecast, we are close to guaranteed a sound surface at Hamilton Racecourse on Thursday. The going is current good to firm, good in places and it is expected to be a dry day on the race day itself.
With that in mind, Adrian Wall has gone through the card and has found three horses who will love the ground. Not many horses go on firm ground so it could be well worth following his advice on this one.

Generally, I despise betting on amateur jockey races but will I ever learn? No. It is hard to get away from the Karl Burke-trained Socially Shady. The gelding bounced back to form at Ayr last time, beaten a neck by subsequent winner Let Me Be. His record on firm ground reads first and second from two runs so conditions are ideal.
Hard Solution has won three times from seven starts on this ground so has to be a huge player in this handicap. He won at Redcar on the first of June and followed up eight days later here at Hamilton over 6f on firm ground. His fourth at Ripon when last seen can be marked up as he was first home in his own group and he should win this coming out of stall one.
The Mark Johnston-trained Wise Judgement won at Beverley on handicap debut this month. She may have just been well treated off 75 but it was also her first run on a firm surface. Well backed into favourite on the day, she could get a soft lead here and may well dictate the fractions. Could be the bet of the night.
