Three course lovers at Ascot form a tasty 82/1 treble on Saturday’s ITV card

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday and they form a treble.

2.10 Ascot

Course lovers will be tempted by Dancing In Paris in the competitive 2m stayers handicap. Trained by Ian Williams, the five-year-old found only one too good at Goodwood over 1m6f last week and the extra two furlongs shouldn’t pose an issue. The dual-purpose performer won here over 1m6f in the past and looks set to run a very good race again.

3.20 Ascot

Up The Pace is the only course winner in the 6f sprint at Ascot and looks set to hit the frame. Edward Smyth-Osbourne’s inmate has been progressive this year, winning his first two outings over C&D and at Doncaster, before going down narrowly at Newmarket when last seen. He should be able to continue his upward trajectory.

3.55 Ascot

Tenability looks the best bet on the Shergar Cup card. The improving son of Frankel has won his last two, including when easily winning on handicap debut over course and distance on his latest outing. There is surely more to come as he is still lightly raced.
