This Cheltenham Festival mares’ race treble could be a cracking ante-post bet

The Cheltenham Festival is fast approaching and it will be here sooner than we expect. It’s just a month away now and the ante-post markets make for interesting viewing at the moment. Some of the races have pretty solid-looking favourites at the moment, including all three of the mares only events. With that in mind, the three favourites can be combined to form a cracking bet. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle

Bambino Fever (7/4, Betfred) was the best horse around in bumpers last term and she came out on top in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham in March and that form is working out exceptionally well. Following up at Punchestown after that, she lost her unbeaten record over hurdles in December but left that run well behind when winning well at Fairyhouse. There should be loads more to come over hurdles.

Mares’ Hurdle

Lossiemouth (1/1, Betfred) tasted defeat for the first time this season at the hands of Brighterdaysahead in the Irish Champion Hurdle and the return to 2m4f will surely see her to best effect. She’s unbeaten over this trip and has won the last two renewals of the Mares’ Hurdle. Willie Mullins’ mare possesses all the ability in the world and should prove hard to beat.

Mares’ Chase

Dinoblue (6/4, Betfred) won this race last year with minimal effort and it should be a similar this time around. Second in Grade 2 company on seasonal debut, she has since won a couple of lesser races easily and the nine-year-old will be primed and ready to go at Cheltenham.
