Dan and Harry Skelton are always a dangerous combination and their threat is amplified at Warwick, one of their local tracks. The pair have 11 winners each at the track already this season, which is significantly more than any other trainer or jockey. The pair are set to combine with five runners at the track on Wednesday so we’ve combined their four best chances into a Lucky 15. The Kenny Alexander-owned Coolkatie looked in need of the experience on debut at Lingfield last month and the trip was plenty short enough for her too. The step up to 2m5f looks sure to be in her favour and improved performance is anticipated this time around.
Northern Air won a Taunton maiden hurdle for Fergal O’Brien in January and was fairly competitive in that sphere. Her two runs over fences for this yard so far have been a little underwhelming but this looks easier and she’s definitely capable of better.
Harry Bright remains lightly raced over hurdles, especially in handicaps, and he produced a career-best performance to finish second when upped to 2m7f at Market Rasen recently. The marathon trip may well suit and there could be more to come, despite a 4lb rise in the weights.
Risky Obsession was purchased from the David Maxwell dispersal sale for £190,000 and he was last seen winning a point-to-point at Ballyknock by a narrow margin. Expectations will be high on his rules debut here and the yard have already had eight bumper winners this season.
