Third to Tullyhill on his debut over hurdles, Union Station has always run well in defeat. He finished fourth of eight behind a well handicapped runner at Punchestown in November but should be better over fences.

Clonbury Bridge is only 1lb higher than when runner-up at Clonmel over 2m5f in October and he ran well over an inadequate trip last time at Navan. Better can be expected back up in distance.

Palamon was pulled up over C&D a rated race when last seen but his prior second to Pinot Gris reads well in the context of this race and the first-time blinkers could spark major improvement.

Willie Mullins’ Kiss Will finished second in a French bumper and was since purchased for €280,000 at the Arqana Arc Sale. It will be disappointing if he’s not up to making a winning debut here.

Swing Davis was bought for a hefty €320,000 and although she failed to fire in a pair of bumpers to date, she is the type who will improve with racing. She should be up to the job on her hurdling debut.

Fishery Lane disappointed when sent off favourite for a 2m7f maiden hurdle around here but the drop back in trip should suit and that was his first run in 255 days. There is more to come.

Duffys Hodey had plenty up his sleeve when powering home to win easily at Clonmel last month and he ran well again in third at Limerick when last seen. He’s the one to beat.
