The bookies won’t want this 24/1 ante-post Willie Mullins Christmas acca to land

We’re now well into December and the Willie Mullins machine will be in full swing over the coming weeks. There’s an abundance of top-class racing action to look forward to over the Christmas period and as per usual, Mullins is likely to dominate once again. He has strong favourites in several Grade 1 races at Leopardstown and Kempton, so we’ve combined four of his best chances into an accumulator. Take a look at our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

King George VI Chase

Gaelic Warrior (9/4, Boylesports) struggled over two miles last season but bounced back to his very best when returning to longer trips. The Rich Ricci-owned gelding was an impressive winner at Aintree last term and his victory over Fact To File at Punchestown last month should set him up perfectly.

Christmas Hurdle (Leopardstown)

Ballyburn (4/5, Boylesports) has returned to hurdles this season and began the campaign with a narrow defeat at the hands of Teahupoo in the Hatton’s Grace. Going back up in trip should help on the evidence of that performance and if back to his very best, he could be far too good for them.

Savills Chase

Galopin Des Champs (15/8, Boylesports) has won this race for the last two years and will be expected to complete the hat-trick. A slight setback made him miss the John Durkan but he’s the best staying chaser of his generation and a winning return to action is anticipated.

December Hurdle

Lossiemouth (1/2, Boylesports) is probably the best mare in training and she proved her abilities over two miles in the Morgiana Hurdle last time out. There won’t be too many people willing to take her on at Leopardstown and it’s easy to see why. She’s clearly the one to beat in this race.
