It’s another day of great action and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
Winner of the Foxhunters at Aintree in 2022, Latenightpass (30/1) is now a 12-year-old so his best days are clearly behind him, but he has an each-way squeak in the 2m5f handicap chase off a mark of 144. Very lightly raced under rules, he won the Cross Country handicap chase at Cheltenham’s December meeting in 2023 off 140, and was an eyecatcher on his second start after a wind operation when third in that contest last month. He is too big a price here.
Aston Martini (16/1) won her first three starts for Nicky Henderson, including a mares’ novice hurdle at Lingfield around this time last year. She ran the classy Might I close in a Bangor handicap on her return in November from a mark of 120 and is effectively off the same mark here factoring in Freddie Gordon’s claim. She was poor at Newbury last time but that’s why we can get a tasty price.
She has had her issues but if Rebecca Menzies has Fonzerelli back to anywhere near her best, then she could be thrown in off 120 in the 3m handicap hurdle. A Listed winner over hurdles at Doncaster in 2022, she ran well for a long way at Carlisle on her return last month and there could be improvement to come.
