The Christmas countdown is on and with it brings just two meetings in Britain on Sunday. Lingfield host an all-weather card and Fakenham host a jumps card.
We will be focusing on the latter track here and it’s Lucy Wadham’s three runners that are of interest. Wadham has a 28% strike-rate at Fakenham in the last five seasons and she is 50% at the track so far this season. She has three good chances on Sunday so let’s take a look at them!

In the 2m4f maiden hurdle, Miss Cynthia has good claims on her first start for the yard. The daughter of Sea The Moon won a 1m4f maiden on the Flat at Lingfield for Sir Mark Prescott, and she was last seen finishing fourth of five in the Group 1 Prix Du Cadran at Longchamp. Picked up for 100,000gns, this is a very winnable assignment on her hurdling debut and it will be a surprise if she’s turned over given the bit of Flat class she possesses.
Moving onto the stamina-sapping 3m5f handicap chase, Samourai One has strong claims. A 13-length winner of a handicap chase at Market Rasen in February, he has run well in defeat in his last two starts and looked like a step up to this extreme distance could suit.
Scene One could be up to landing the 2m5f handicap chase. The C&D winner took a big leap forward when second behind East Street in an amateurs contest at Leicester last time.
