It’s another day of great action on ITV and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of outsiders on Saturday. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds on the day. Adrian is in cracking form and had provided followers with cracking 25/1 and 18/1 winners recently. Best of luck if you follow him in.
Ziggy’s Ariel (16/1) won over this course and distance at Ripon back in April from a mark of 75 and the filly is effectively 1lb lower in the weights now if you factor in the rider’s 3lb claim. Her last two starts at Brighton and Beverley haven’t provided much enthusiasm but a return to this venue could be the answer to an improved run. At the price, she is worthy of an each-way bet, for all the form of the yard would have to be a slight concern at the moment.
Nostrum (14/1) was once a horse with a very lofty reputation when trained by Sir Michael Stoute, racking up Listed and Group 3 wins, but the son of Kingman has regressed and is now having his fourth start for David O’Meara. This yard is very shrewd with new recruits and after a few poor efforts in Graded company, perhaps we will see a massive effort now on his handicap debut.
Alyanaabi (20/1) will win this if he can recapture his form of old. Second in the Dewhurst in 2023, he was far from disgraced in both the 2,000 Guineas and St James’s Palace Stakes last year and although he needs to improve on his latest couple of efforts, he can’t be ruled out.
