‘She could be away and gone’ – three well drawn horses to follow at Beverley on Sunday

Beverley Racecourse

Between five furlongs and the extended seven furlongs at Beverley Racecourse, you simply have to be drawn fairly low to have a reasonable chance of winning. Up there with Chester, Beverley has a massive draw advantage for runners that are drawn low. This is because the track goes downhill and right from the stalls and if you don’t get the inside rail you are pushed wide. If you are wide, you will lose many lengths on the field and it really compromises your chance of success.

Adrian Wall has highlighted three horses running at Beverley on Sunday who should run a big race!

2.05 Beverley

If a horse ever deserved to get his head in front then it’s Paul Midgley’s Rock Of England, who has hit the crossbar a few times of late. He was an unlucky loser when third at Ripon last month and had no luck in running when third at Thirsk next time, before again running a big race in fourth back at Thirsk last time. Drawn in stall two, he will get a lovely position by the rail and if the gaps come he should win.

3.15 Beverley

Mandana finished third in a good fillies’ maiden over 7f at Newmarket on debut and she was an unlucky loser last time at Haydock having had a very wide passage, only to fly home and finish second there this month. She should have no such trouble here as she is drawn in stall two and being from a top family she can improve again.

3.50 Beverley

Charlie Johnston’s Baileys Jubilation made all at Lingfield on her penultimate start and she will employ similar tactics here from stall two. She missed the break at Goodwood last time so that run is easily forgiven.
