Saturday ITV outsiders: ‘Fellowes’ Gorak the value at around 20/1 at Chester’

Goodwood Racecourse

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on ITV on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the day, and remember, always bet responsibly.

1.50 Sandown

Oisin Murphy has been booked to ride Glenfinnan (11/1) which could be a tip in itself as he rode this horse to victory at Ascot last September. A lover of fast ground, this lad wouldn’t want any rain at all but there have been signs the Michael Dods yard is about to hit form again. This lad was well held in the Stewards’ Cup but a repeat of his Wokingham fifth puts him in the picture.

2.25 Sandown

This mile Group 3 revolves around Tamfana who should win this at a canter on all known form, but if she fails to deliver then maybe Choisya (12/1) can take advantage. The filly won four times last year and she returned from a very short break to produce a career best when landing a Listed contest at Haydock this month. This is a step up for her but she’s thriving.

2.40 Chester

Irish raiders Warrior Brave and Physique are well worth a mention at decent prices in this 7.5f handicap but at juicy odds Gorak (20/1) looks far too big. Despite having a tricky draw in stall 10, Charlie Fellowes’ inmate was twice a winner over 7f last season and split the reopposing Carrytheone and Divine Libra in a thrilling three-way photo at Newmarket in the spring. An eyecatching third at Epsom on Monday he’s right in this.
