It’s another day of great action on Saturday and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
This is one of the strongest renewals of the Long Walk Hurdle that I can remember in terms of its competitiveness and if she’s on her A-game, the Dan Skelton-trained mate Kateira (10/1) could take some beating at a nice price. Second to Irish Point in a Grade 1 at Aintree in the spring of 2023, she impressed when landing a Listed race for mares at Kempton when last seen and although she hasn’t won over this far, she does stay.
Hartur d’Arc (16/1) represents Irish raider Gavin Cromwell who does very well with his runners on British soil and this boy looks way overpriced in the 3m handicap chase. Last season’s Leinster National winner stays all day, and he was just in need of the run when well below his best at Cheltenham in April. The ground was quite fast on the day too which wouldn’t have suited. Back on an easier surface with the cobwebs blown away, he can be expected to put in a big performance.
Kihavah (33/1) seems to be a forgotten horse in the closing 2m hurdle if the market is to be believed. The dual-purpose performer is a classy horse who finished second in the Ebor on the Flat back in August and he was far from disgraced over hurdles when beaten by Rubaud at Kempton and then third behind Sir Gino in the Fighting Fifth. He will relish being back in handicap company.
