Bob Bob Ricard (11/1) should be a little bit shorter in the market in my opinion. Jonjo O’Neill is in fine form at present and ths boy has progressed since the switch to chasing over the summer, winning back-to-back handicap chases at Ffos Las and Worcester. He had a couple of spins over hurdles at Worcester since but has to be of interest back over fences now.
The Short Go (22/1) might look like Henry de Bromhead’s number two on paper as Senior Chief is much shorter in the market, but this gelding has a chance. He won on chasing debut at Clonmel last September and has run with credit in a couple of handicaps over the summer, including when fourth of 14 at Kilbeggan over 3m1f in August. He shouldn’t be far off.
Secret Trix (25/1) ran a shocker on his chasing debut at Newton Abbot last month so it’s no surprise to see him back hurdling. A good winner at Uttoxeter in July, if he can come back to that level of form he will have every chance here in a competitive contest.
