Some promise over hurdles in 2022 but arrives here on the back of an AW double over 1m2f at Newcastle. Visor replaces usual blinkers. Needs to improve on all known hurdling form but is there with a chance in a winnable race.

Gordon Elliott’s Prends Garde A Toi is all the rage here but Menzies’ runner has been nibbled at. A repeat of his Cartmel novice second in July when beaten only half a length brings him right into this but he needs to bounce back from latest Sedgefield run.

Very strong in the market this morning. She hasn’t won in two years but wasn’t beaten far in third when a beaten favourite at Hexham latest. She handles undulating sharp tracks and runs from a 4lb lower mark in Ireland.
Boomslang

8/1 into 7/2
A very modest beginners’ chase and if this boy takes to chasing he might take all the beating. He won over hurdles at Cartmel in June and was only touched off by a length at Sedgefield this month, with the pair pulling well clear.
Edgewell

12/1 into 9/2
Yet to win and was far from convincing in three starts over fences but he ran well over hurdles at Kelso last time and the Irish handicapper has given him a real chance if he can improve over larger obstacles.
