Rachael Blackmore is one of the finest jockeys around and boasts a big-race CV that most riders can only dream of. This makes her a jockey to follow at all times and she has built a very successful partnership with Henry de Bromhead over the years. It could be particularly noteworthy that Blackmore heads to Tramore on Tuesday to ride just one horse for her regular boss. The horse in question possesses plenty of potential and could be one to watch. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Banprionsa runs in the familiar Kenny Alexander silks which Blackmore wore to victory aboard Honeysuckle in two Champion Hurdles. If this mare goes on to be even half as good as Honeysuckle, connections will be absolutely delighted.
This six-year-old ran out an impressive winner in her sole Irish point at Lingstown in March. She travelled smoothly throughout the race before taking the lead approaching the second last fence. It was all over from that point on and she went on to score by 22 lengths without breaking a sweat.
The form of her second at Cork on hurdles debut last time out looks pretty solid as the winner placed in a Listed bumper previously. De Bromhead’s charge is entitled to improve for the run and she’s very much the one to beat in this contest.
Kenny Alexander himself is in decent form in the last fortnight and has had two winners from his four runners during that time. Plenty will be expected of Banprionsa here and it’s difficult to foresee an outcome in which she isn’t victorious.
