If she finds a gap, she wins!

Australian mare Asfoora of the Henry Winter yard has raced three times in Britain already this year and she’s going to take all the beating in the Nunthorpe. She was 0/6 in Group 1 company back home but won on her first crack at a British Group 1 when landing the King Charles III Stakes at Ascot. That shows how far ahead Aussie sprinters are!

Big Evs needed a career best to hold Asfoora off in the King George Qatar Stakes at Goodwood last time and the mare was certainly flying at the line. It’s no surprise to see her as the current favourite for the Nunthorpe at York as a consequence. She has so much natural speed and also has a high cruising speed which allows her to keep plenty up her sleeve for the latter stage of the race.

It might look boring tipping up a favourite for the contest, but it’s hard to see what beats her if she runs to her best. Live In The Dream was a shock winner of the race last year but hasn’t gone on from that, but he could be dangerous back here.
