Monster gamble alert: Horse backed from 14-1 into 9-2 at Tipperary

8.00 Tipperary

Ross O’Sullivan is a very shrewd operator and when you see money coming for one of his runners you stand up and take notice. In the last race at Tipperary tonight, a 45-70 rated handicap, he will run a horse called Made For Minds.

This is a very well bred four-year-old son of Australia who started his career with William Haggas in England in 2020. In two runs for Haggas he ran two disappointing races and the horse was then sent over to Ireland.

Made For Minds had his Irish debut at Limerick in a maiden over a mile and he ran as well as could have been expected, finishing seventh of the 16 runners in what was a competitive affair.

On handicap debut when last seen at Leopardstown he improved massively again. Running over 1m1f on soft ground, he was only beaten five lengths when seventh of the 22 runners.

He did his best work at the finish so this step up to 1m4f is exactly what the doctor ordered and he could be extremely well treated from a basement mark of just 65. He has been backed from 14-1 into 9-2 in places which is significant support.
