Monday’s racing tips: four runners form a horses for courses Lucky 15

Adrian Wall knows how to spot a winner and is back with four tasty selections for Monday’s racing action. The four horses could return a decent sum if they all win in a Lucky 15 bet, but as ever, always bet responsibly and only bet what you can afford to lose.

1.50 Brighton

Eve Johnston Houghton has a 20 per cent strike rate at Brighton in the last five years, so anything she runs here has to be respected. The Princes Poet won here in May and although he didn’t land a blow at Bath recently, he will appreciate being back here.

2.10 Chepstow

Pavlodar struck form here in July when second over course and distance, but then went one better here last week when winning by a neck off a mark of 62. He is gone up 5lb as a consequence but Harry Davies takes over in the saddle and he might bring out the required improvement.

3.20 Chepstow

Azahara Palace has won over this course and distance twice already in her short career, and she can get back to winning ways here off the back of a narrow defeat at Salisbury last time. Hughie Morrison’s filly is up another 2lb but the talented Billy Loughnane, who rode her to victory in July, is back aboard.

5.12 Roscommon

Yermanthere landed a massive gamble at this track 13 days ago, going on to win in the manner of a horse who was miles ahead of the handicapper. He has been hit with a 12lb rise in the weights but could still be ahead of his mark. He wouldn’t want the ground to dry out too much though.
