Our free tips and Cheltenham Day 2 selections are live now, so don’t miss out!
Kaid d’Authie announced himself as a serious candidate for this race when easily getting the better of stablemate Final Demand at the Dublin Racing Festival. There’s no real reason to assume that the form will be reversed, despite what the market says, but the trip is a bit of an unknown quantity. He stayed on strongly last time out however and Mullins is obviously confident that he’ll get home.
Kopeck De Mee was a disappointing favourite in the Martin Pipe last season but he did manage to finish second by a narrow margin in a valuable race at Aintree after that. Falling over fences on his sole start of the season, he’s been looked after since then and a much improved display is expected here.
Majborough is very difficult to oppose here, especially with defending champion Marine Nationale missing due to a setback. He produced a magnificent performance to win the Dublin Chase by a wide margin at Leopardstown last time out and the cheekpieces made a huge difference.
Inthepocket was a fair novice hurdler a couple of seasons ago and he managed to win a Grade 1 at Aintree. Injuries scuppered his novice chasing campaign and he clearly isn’t the easiest to train. Popular in the betting here, he’s got the ability to run a big race if bringing his a-game.
