We’ve combined his four most likely winners into a Lucky 15 and good luck if you decide to get involved. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Puturhandstogether looked like more than a handicapper when running away with the Hallgarten And Novum Wines Juvenile Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham. Always travelling well, once Mark Walsh said go, he quickly put six lengths between him and the runner-up. His official rating of 143 doesn’t leave him with loads to find and the step up in grade looks fully justified.
Spillane’s Tower was particularly progressive in the spring last season, winning Grade 1 novice chases at Fairyhouse and Punchestown. He split Fact To File and Galopin Des Champs in the John Durkan on seasonal debut but disappointed in the King George. It’s likely that he’s capable of better and his rating indicates that the seven-year-old is right in the mix.
Jonbon can be his own worst enemy at times and a shuddering error put an end to his chances in the Champion Chase. This longer trip probably suits him better and having won the race last year, he very much looks like the one to beat once again.
Iroko has been trained for this race and the seven-year-old is currently right at the head of the market. Connections have minded him so far this season and it’s therefore likely that they’re very happy with a mark of 152. His age is a slight concern but Noble Yeats pulled it off in 2022 and it would be no surprise if Iroko was to follow suit.
