Jockey with 47% strike-rate at Ripon this year should be worth following on Tuesday

Daniel Tudhope has a superb strike-rate at Ripon Racecourse this year and he could well enhance it on Tuesday with two booked rides. Tudhope is operating at an incredible 47 per cent at the track in 2025, with 8 wins from 17 rides, an incredible return! Let’s take a look at his two rides below.

2.35 Ripon

Rogue Rebellion finished last of eight runners on his debut at Beverley but that run can be best excused. He was given a very strange ride on the day, being brought to race alone on the stands’ rail. The fact he was sent off at only 4/1 on the day suggests he must have been working fairly well at home.

It’s also worth noting that he holds an entry for the Listed Two Year Old Trophy at Redcar so he is clearly fairly well thought of and is worth another chance.

4.05 Ripon

Pisanello is running off what seems to be a dangerous mark and could be ready to strike again for the David O’Meara team. The eight-year-old’s last win came at York last summer off a mark of 83, and he is now back down to a lowly mark of just 67, so it’s clear that he can’t have it any better from the handicapper now, that’s for sure.

Pisanello has struggled in recent starts truth be told, only mustering up a fourth of five at Hamilton when last seen. However, he was sent off the favourite on that occasion and the run is also best excused because he dwelt coming out of the stalls. Perhaps he is worth another chance here and if he gets away on terms he has a good sound chance.
