Jack Kennedy is ready for Cheltenham and his three best rides form a 19/1 treble

Jack Kennedy has been particularly unlucky on the injury front and he’s recovering from a sixth broken leg. He’s been cleared to ride at Cheltenham, which will be great news for the Gordon Elliott yard. Clearly he’s going to have a strong book of rides so we’ve combined his three best chances into a juicy treble. Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

There are several reasons to take on the big favourite and there are few better alternatives than Romeo Coolio (6/1, Betfred). A nice positive ride could see him to best effect here as he’s a good jumper with a high cruising speed. Those are traits that will serve him well in the Supreme and he should be bang in the mix.

Mares’ Hurdle

Brighterdaysahead (8/15, Betfred) has long been the apple of Gordon Elliott’s eye and she is an extremely talented mare. Her demolition of State Man at Leopardstown over Christmas suggests she would have every chance in either this race or the Champion Hurdle but the Mares’ Hurdle is obviously the easier option. Surely the six-year-old would be banker material if lining up in this.

Stayers’ Hurdle

Teahupoo (10/11, Betfred) should probably be a two-time winner of this race already but narrowly failed to come out on top in 2023. He made no mistake last year with Jack Kennedy on board however and it’s hard to find something to take him on with, other than perhaps stablemate The Wallpark who isn’t a guaranteed runner. The eight-year-old looks like the one to beat once again.
