2.17 Musselburgh

Rewired (40/1) is yet to fire for Tristan Davidson but he won at Taunton around this time last year from a mark of 120 and he’s now 10lb lower in the weights. Granted, he has been beaten out of sight in four starts for this yard but his price factors that in. Trip and ground are both fine and everything hinges on whether the trainer has got him back to anywhere near the best of his ability. If he has done, then he’s thrown in here and could be a decent each-way bet.

2.50 Musselburgh

Minella Drama (10/1) was given a fantastic ride by Brian Hughes (retained) when winning the Old Roan Chase over 2m4f at Aintree off 149 on his return in October. He had excuses when last seen pulling up at Huntingdon as the ground was bottomless and it was a big step up in class. He won on his sole start over this course and distance and a return to a sounder surface will really suit.

3.07 Sandown

Flight Deck (22/1) comes with risks attached but he was far from disgraced in a Grade 2 at Newbury last time despite finishing last of the four runners. A clear second on his penultimate start at Newton Abbot, he runs from the same mark here and the visor that he wore that day goes back on.
