There are numerous factors to consider when trying to pick a winner. Previous course form is always an important one as some horses tend to have their favourite tracks to run at. We’ve picked out three horses running live on ITV at Newbury on Saturday that are all previous course winners for you to consider. Each has a 100 per cent track record and combine to form a tasty treble. You can check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
Get A Tonic (2-1, William Hill) was an impressive winner over course and distance last time out. The handicapper has responded with an 8lb rise but that may not be enough if Dan Skelton’s mare turns up in a similar vein of form. She’s not always the most consistent but does possess plenty of ability. That victory last time out was her sole start at Newbury and she can follow up here.
Willmount (2-1, William Hill) looked very smart when an easy winner on his debut over hurdles here, over an extended two miles. Currently with the Nicky Henderson yard, he was an easy winner of two bumpers for Neil Mulholland last season. His pedigree suggests the step up in trip will suit and he looks like a very smart prospect.
Walking On Air (4-1, William Hill) certainly has the scope to make a smart chaser. Out of the very smart mare Refinement, he’s a 138-rated hurdler and makes his first start over fences here. This was the scene of his impressive victory on hurdles debut in January 2022, his only start at the track. Nicky Henderson’s charge finished a good fifth in the Pertemps Final at Cheltenham in March and the best is probably yet to come.
