Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday.
We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot a few weeks ago and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.
Richard Hughes’s stable is in red-hot form at the moment and a huge run is expected from Kamboo on his return after a wind operation. The son of Awtaad is a dual AW winner, including here 1m on his second career start, but he looks a stayer in the making. William Buick is an eyecatching booking and his most recent runs can be forgiven as he clearly needed the wind op.
Alan King’s Paradias is seeking a hat-trick here and the son of Kodiac may well do the job. He was all out to win over course and distance in January but a 3lb rise seems fair and he has had a short break to get back to peak fitness again.
Liberty Lane put in a jaw-dropping effort off his mark when landing the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket in September before a fine second in the Group 3 Darley Stakes there when last seen. Karl Burke’s runner should prove too strong here if he is fit and ready to roll.
