We have some quality racing to look forward to on Saturday, most notably at Newmarket. There are two Group 1 races, the Middle Park and Cheveley Park, as well as the Cambridgeshire. Liam Bramall has picked out a trio of 16/1 selections, one in each race, who look capable of outrunning their odds. The market leaders look worth taking on in all three races and these picks can give them a run for their money. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.
This year’s renewal doesn’t look the strongest and Anthelia (16/1, bet365) could be the one to take advantage. She has won five of her seven starts and was last seen winning a Group 3 at Salisbury. Rod Millman’s filly has proven herself on most types of ground and her best form is absolutely rock-solid. Hopefully the race doesn’t cut up much and if there are three places on offer, she can fill one of them.
Five Ways (16/1, Boylesports) appeared to need the run when finishing fourth on debut at Newbury but could hardly have been more impressive at Salisbury after that. Andrew Balding’s colt then followed up in Group 3 company at Kempton earlier this month. Clearly the son of Kameko is progressing quickly and he should have every chance if taking another step forward here.
We haven’t seen much of Real Gain (16/1, Betfred) this season and it smells like a handicap plot. Richard Hughes’ five-year-old ran a cracker to finish third in the Golden Mile at Goodwood last month, as it was his first start for over a year. Improvement seems likely this time around and it would be no surprise if he runs a massive race.
