Adrian has loved racing from an early age, and regularly visits his local tracks in the west of Ireland. With a love for both UK & Irish flat and jumps racing, his favourite festival is the Galway Races and he goes there every year.
The week we have all been waiting for is here! Epsom Racecourse will play host to the prestigious Oaks (Friday) and Derby (Saturday) this week and here at myracing we will have all of your betting needs covered. Below, we have a free tip for the Derby but you can find all of today’s free horse racing tips on the website!
Auguste Rodin completely flopped in last year’s 2,000 Guineas before going on to win the Derby, and just because he did it, lots out there feel City Of Troy will do it too. Make no bones about it, what Auguste Rodin achieved last year after that flop was remarkable and there’s no way for me City Of Troy offers any value to win the race at around 9/4.
Aidan O’Brien might well work his magic again and he’s the closest thing to Harry Houdini we have seen, but it’s going to take a hell of a performance for the current favourite to win this. At a price, I really like the chances of Ralph Beckett’s Macduff in what is an open race.
The Newmarket 7f maiden winner was fourth in the Royal Lodge last year and looked like a horse who is crying out for a Derby trip. He confirmed that thinking when second behind Arabian Crown in the bet365 Classic Trial at Sandown over 1m2f when last seen. The extra 2f here is going to be right up his street and I’ve no doubt we haven’t seen the best of this lad yet.
At around the 16/1 mark, he looks a tasty each-way price and I’ll have a play.
