Horses for courses: Three Friday runners with a combined total of 15 track wins

There are many factors that need to be considered when trying to pick out winners in this sport. One particularly useful one to ponder is previous course form. Horses are individuals and as a result can perform better at certain tracks than others. With this in mind, we’ve selected three runners on Friday with a combined total of 15 course wins at their respective tracks. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

4.40 Hexham

Well Educated has two tracks which appear to suit him and Hexham is definitely one of them. George Bewley’s eight-year-old is a four-time course winner and he should be very competitive off this mark. He’s been climbing up the weights since winning here off a 10lb lower mark in May but the form of his second off 116 at Cartmel in July gives him every chance here.

5.30 Fontwell

Beat The Heat is another four-time course winner, this time at Fontwell. Jim Boyle’s seven-year-old was last successful off a 3lb lower mark over course and distance in June and a reproduction of that effort would surely put him in the mix. Not completely out of it when falling here last time, he should run his race once again.

7.30 Newcastle

Pallas Lord certainly knows his way around Newcastle, having run here a whopping 29 times. The son of Dandy Man has seven course victories to his name, as well as a further eight placed efforts. He’s been in particularly good form this calendar year, with five wins between January and March, and he should be nice and refreshed after having a break.
