Horses for courses: Three track specialists to keep an eye out for on Thursday

There are many factors to consider when trying to pick out winners and course form is a significant one. Horses are individuals so some will perform better at certain tracks than others, giving them an advantage sometimes. We’ve selected three such horses that are running on Thursday and they are well worth following. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.25 Sedgefield

Zwicky has won three times at Sedgefield and that includes a game success over shorter when last seen. A 2lb rise looks about right and it certainly shouldn’t be too crippling to his chances. Phillip Kirby’s gelding has only had three starts over fences so far and further progress seems likely.

2.40 Market Rasen

Kosasiempre is unbeaten in two starts at Market Rasen and both came over this trip in May and June. Stuart Edmunds’ six-year-old had no chance with the very well handicapped winner at Southwell last month but a similar effort could be enough here and the handicapper has left her mark alone. A rating of 102 shouldn’t be beyond her and it’s likely that she can win more races at this sort of level.

3.00 Sedgefield

Clean Getaway is a two-time course winner and both successes have come on his most recent starts. He was an impressive winner over hurdles when last seen and is due to go up 10lb as a result. Carrying no penalty or extra weight for that success here, now would surely be the perfect time to catch him. Joe Williamson is able to take 3lb off today and the pair clearly get on well.
