Horses for courses: Four Friday runners with at least three previous track wins

There are a multitude of factors to consider when trying to pick out a winner, which is why it’s so tough to do. One of the most important ones is course form, as some horses show a particular liking for specific tracks. With this in mind, we’ve picked out four runners on Friday with at least three course wins at their respective tracks. This could prove to be an advantage so we’ll take a close look at their chances. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

3.55 Uttoxeter

Ambassador runs his race at Uttoxeter more often than not, with a record of three wins and two seconds here in just seven starts. The most recent of those came in cosy style back in May and he can go close once again off a 3lb higher mark. Joshua Thompson has won on him twice and the successful partnership is maintained here, with the conditional continuing to take 7lb off.

5.40 Chepstow

Iconic Knight hasn’t been in the best of form so far this season but his solid course record makes him one to consider. Having won four times and placed a further five times here, there’s always a chance that he can return to winning ways. John & Rhys Flint’s nine-year-old was last successful over course and distance in 2022 and the fact that he’s racing off a 15lb lower mark here makes him dangerous.

7.20 Chepstow

Macs Dilemma has six turf successes to his name and four of those have come at Chepstow. He was a game winner here over 7f last July and a similar effort should put him bang in the mix, running off a 3lb lower rating this time around.

8.10 Sandown

Island Bandit has won three of his four starts at Sandown and has to go under consideration on that evidence. Heather Main’s five-year-old was disappointing at Goodwood on seasonal debut but is entitled to improve for the run. His most recent course and distance success came off just a 2lb higher mark in August and he should make the frame at the very least.
