It’s another day of great action on ITV on Saturday and Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of outsiders on the day. He has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds. Adrian is in cracking form and had provided followers with cracking 25/1 and 18/1 winners recently. Best of luck if you follow him in.
Western General (20/1) is not the most consistent of performers but he is very capable on a going day and looks overpriced if he’s ready to roll after a break. He was last seen pulling up in a handicap chase at Chepstow in April, but won both of his prior starts by a combined 32 lengths at the start of the year and he will go on any kind of ground. There’s plenty to like.
No Ordinary Joe (28/1) hasn’t won a race since way back in 2022 so he comes with obvious risks attached, but he might surprise here. Formerly with Nicky Henderson, the 9yo caught the eye on his first start for this stable at Uttoxeter two weeks ago when finishing midfield, tenderly handled on the day. He’s off a lovely mark if he can build on that now.
Oliver’s Travels (20/1) is a bumper and hurdles winner who has improved again for a switch to larger obstacles in recent months, winning at Cartmel over the extended 3m1f in August before bolting up at Uttoxeter over 3m. He took another step forward when runner-up at Kelso and there’s every chance that he could improve again. Mickey Bowen is having a good spell and he should go well.
