‘Her best form puts her right in this’ – Liam’s 33/1 Tuesday outsider of the day

Three horses in contention to win at Nottingham racecourse in 2019

It’s a quiet day for racing on Tuesday, with no Irish meeting and just three fixtures taking place across Britain. Whilst the quantity may be on the low side, the action we do have should be as competitive as ever. Liam Bramall had selected his outsider of the day on Tuesday and the horse in question is available at massive odds of 33/1. The market may have prematurely overlooked this horse, which could prove to be a mistake. Check out our free tips page for daily content across British and Irish racing.

2.30 Nottingham

Nottingham’s opening race is a 0-58 handicap which has attracted a massive field of 16. The in-form Star Of St James is likely to prove popular as he bids to follow up his last time out success. George Baker’s Showlan Spirit is in a similar situation and they should dominate the market between them.

Daffin (33/1, bet365) is one of the more lightly raced runners in the field and it’s far too early to give up on her just yet. Her best form puts her right in this and in fact would suggest she’s very well treated. A one-length third on handicap debut over 7f in March, that effort came off a mark of 61. She’s currently on a 7lb lower mark and is surely capable of at least making the frame here.

It’s noted that three of her four subsequent efforts have been very poor but she was only beaten two lengths when finishing fourth at Wolverhampton off 59 in April. Kevin Frost’s filly had wind surgery earlier on in the summer and there should be more to come if that has the desired effect.
