Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on Saturday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.
In the opening 6f handicap at Newmarket, Andrew Balding’s Grenham Bay (10/1) is of interest. He won at Kempton over this trip in March and was better than the bare result when seventh at Windsor latest, only beaten a couple of lengths. He should come on for that run and is respected.
Eve Johnson Houghton’s string is in fine fettle at present and although he’s not the force of old, Accidental Agent (25/1) could be a big danger to all here if he’s on a going day after a break. Now the ripe old age of 10, he hasn’t won a race since 2022 but he is a former Group 1 winner and he can race from a workable mark of 92 on his return with Mia Nicholls taking a further 5lb off in the saddle. He has won fresh in the past and he could surprise.
Another of Eve Johnson Houghton’s runners could be worthy of a wager in the following Group 2 Hungerford Stakes over 7f as Jumby (16/1) sees William Buick get back on him which could be a real sign of intent. Buick rode this horse to victory in this race two years ago and although he got his year off to a terrible start, he ran a much better race in handicap company last time and could be coming to the boil nicely.
