‘He could still be ahead of his mark’ – monster Saturday horses for courses treble

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday and they form a treble.

We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot a while back and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.

2.20 Cheltenham

Jagwar is a classy type who progressed rapidly as a novice chaser last season, winning four of his five starts and he went on to land the Plate at the Festival here in March. No easy task carrying top weight up 9lb on return but there’s every chance he could still be ahead of his mark.

3.30 Cheltenham

This would be the real one to make the bet! De Temps En Temps was a bumper winner for Gavin Cromwell and he got off the mark at the second attempt for this stable at Uttoxeter last month before backing it up in style here over 2m4f, rallying well after a blunder two from home. Has to be of interest in a handicap now.

3.43 Wetherby

Heltenham can be quite hit or miss but he bolted up at Perth earlier in the year off a mark of 134 and is back down to a workable 138 after a couple of poor showings since returning. Stable in form and should make his presence felt.
