‘He could have his turn very soon’ – 285/1 ITV horses for courses treble for Saturday

1.50 Newbury

Our Nap of the Day runs in this contest but the course form lovers may be latching onto Further, who will be ridden by Oisin Murphy. Andrew Balding’s son of Waldgeist easily won his maiden here over 1m3f in April and a reproduction of his Queen’s Vase runner-up finish at Royal Ascot brings him right into the picture. He was very poor at Newmarket last time, however.

3.00 Newbury

Eve Johnson Houghton’s Jumby hasn’t won a race for more than two years but the course and distance winner has threatened to strike in handicap company of late, hitting the frame at both Haydock and Newmarket on his last two starts. He could have his turn very soon.

3.35 Newbury

Witness Stand has sparked a revival in recent starts, going down narrowly at Chester before producing a whirlwind performance when landing the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood last time out. He has a penalty to carry here so life is a little tougher, but he has a progressive profile and bolted up in Listed company around here before.
