‘He could be thrown in off 127’ – mark your card with three Sunday ITV outsiders

Adrian Wall is back with his weekly feast of ITV Racing outsiders and he has picked out three horses who should outrun their large odds live on TV on Sunday. Make sure you check out our free horse racing tips for the weekend, and remember, always bet responsibly.

1.50 Aintree

Don’t rule out a big run from outsider of the pack Unexpected Party (14/1) in the feature Old Roan Chase. Dan Skelton is in good form at present, and this boy goes well fresh. He won a Listed chase at Chepstow over 2m4f on his return last October, and he went on to win the Grand Annual at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Needing to put a poor run here behind him when last seen, now could be the time to back him for all he is 3lb wrong at the weights.

2.25 Aintree

Things didn’t go to plan for Diol Ker (25/1) when trained by Gordon Elliott in Ireland but he was a fine big chaser earlier in his career and he might be of interest on his second start for his new yard. Now with Evan Williams, this boy was pulled up at Chepstow latest but that was his first run since May. Given he was running off a mark as high as 145 last season, he could be thrown in off 127 here.

3.15 Wincanton

I’ve had a play on Deise Aba (16/1) here. Alex Dunn’s runner is now a veteran but he’s been kept busy in the point circuit and was second at Cheltenham in January 2023 off 5lb higher. The yard has got off to a fine start to the season and can ready one for a handicap.
