‘Handicap company should be more his bag’ – 479/1 Cheltenham horses for courses acca

Course form can be absolutely crucial when looking for a winner. If you know your way around a place, you are going to have an advantage over somebody who has never been there before. The same applies to horses – knowing your way around a venue is always a big advantage. Adrian Wall has picked out three former course winners running on ITV on Saturday and they form a treble.

We landed a tasty 67/1 treble at Ascot a while back and this week’s treble returns great odds at the time of posting. Best of luck if you have a play.

1.10 Cheltenham

Double Powerful has been very consistent for his connections. He made great progress over hurdles last season, winning his first four outings of that term before some big runs in defeat, and was last seen finishing third of 17 in a valuable extended 3m Aintree handicap when beaten just over a length. He looks the type that could improve for chasing and has won around here already.

2.55 Cheltenham

Gowel Road finished second in this race last year and won the Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle here last winter. He was out of his depth in the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Festival when last seen but handicap company should be more his bag and the stable is in good form.

4.05 Cheltenham

Intense Approach is an Irish raider who likes it here, winning the 3m novice hurdle on this card last year. He won a beginners’ at Galway nicely on reappearance in August and should be primed for this assignment now. The stable has a good record around here.
