Grand National 2023: Adrian Wall’s three to follow in the big one plus a 100-1 tip 🏇

The day is upon us finally. The Randox Grand National is the biggest race in the world and everyone will be flocking to the betting shops or to their betting apps to place bets on the brilliant steeplechase. Adrian Wall has picked out three runners who should run big races today at the Aintree Festival. Best of luck if you follow and always bet responsibly.

No. 3 Galvin

The ground is drying out this morning and that will really help the chances of Galvin, who is a very classy operator on his day. The former Savills winner is a tough and genuine sort who has a terrific Cheltenham Festival record, winning the 2021 National Hunt Chase and was also fourth in the Gold Cup the following year. He gave Delta Work a good race on his first try in a cross-country race in March, and although he meets him on worse terms today, this test will suit him better.

No. 26 Corach Rambler

Lucinda Russell tasted Grade 1 success at Aintree on Friday and that bodes well for Corach Rambler. Despite being weak in the market overnight, he is now a very backable price. He is 10lb well in off the back of his fantastic win at Cheltenham last month and is undoubtedly the best treated horse in the race. His running style could get him into bother though as he will be out the back early. He needs to avoid a lot of trouble and carnage but if he does, nothing will be finishing the race off better more than likely.

No. 21 A Wave Of The Sea

This might look like a crazy punt and it may well turn out to be just that as A Wave Of The Sea is nearly at his best over two miles. Nonetheless, he was a staying on fourth in the Munster National at Limerick back in October and when Limerick is soft it’s a proper bog, so there is slight hope that he may well see out this marathon distance judged by that run. A year prior, he fell when having the Paddy Power Chase at his mercy and he might surprise a few at huge odds.
