Leopardstown longshots: what horses are worth keeping an eye on in the betting?

Sir Erec makes all to win the Tattersalls Ireland Spring Juvenile Hurdle

We have another great day of action to look forward to at Leopardstown on Friday so let’s see if we can spot a bit of early value! Below are horses who look overpriced in the betting. You can find all of our free horse racing tips on the website now.

12.05 Leopardstown

Denis Hogan certainly wouldn’t be prolific over jumps at all but Autumn Twist (25/1) is very interesting here on his Irish and hurdling debut. The son of Golden Horn was second on the Flat at Chantilly when last seen and was picked up for 21,000gns in October. It would be no surprise to see money come for him.

1.45 Leopardstown

Sea Of Sands (10/1) should be a bit shorter for this Grade 1 novice hurdle, which doesn’t look too deep for a race of its stature. There wasn’t much to split him and the reopposing Romeo Coolio (second) when third behind Tounsivator in the Royal Bond when last seen and he’s a lovely price.

2.20 Leopardstown

The very consistent Wee Charlie (20/1) is overlooked in the betting here and has a solid each-way chance. He won back-t0-back handicap hurdles at Galway in September and October before finishing second at the same track on his next start, and only found one too strong at Thurless last weekend. He has a big chance off the same mark.

3.00 Leopardstown

Barry Maloney had a lovely winner on Thursday thanks to Workahead and he might have an outside chance here with Life In The Park (28/1). Henry de Bromhead is flying at present and this horse would have every chance judged on his close-up fourth behind Pinkerton in the Galway Plate.
