Kinross (8/1, bet365) is a consistent performer at the top level and he can do the business here. The ground is currently good to soft, which will be no problem for him, and every drop of rain between now and Saturday is welcome.
Ralph Beckett’s seven-year-old made his seasonal reappearance in Group 3 company at Newcastle last month and he should improve for the run. This son of Kingman won the 2022 Champions Sprint on soft and the Prix de la Foret on very soft in the same year.
A very good third in this race last year, there’s every reason to expect a similar effort this time around. He has finished in the first three in 13 of his last fifteen starts and has six wins to his name during this period.
Kevin Ryan’s Inisherin deserves his place at the head of the market as he was very impressive in the Commonwealth Cup. Kinross is a vastly experienced campaigner however and he can take full advantage of that. It’ll be a surprise if he doesn’t at least make the frame, as he’s capable of going all the way.
