There are always many factors to consider when trying to find winners and one particularly useful tip is to look at horses who have performed well at the track before. Horses aren’t machines and some perform better at certain courses than others, which can be a significant advantage at times. With that in mind, we’ve selected three horses across the 10 ITV races on Saturday with excellent records at their respective tracks. Mighty Bandit (6/4, bet365) beat a subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner when taking a maiden hurdle at Punchestown for previous connections. He has taken his form to the next level over fences for Warren Greatrex and has won his last two starts with plenty in hand. Greatrex’s six-year-old bolted up over course and distance last time out and could follow up off an 8lb higher mark here.
Cracking Rhapsody (11/2, bet365) has won this race for the last two years and the handicapper has given him a massive chance so don’t rule out the hat-trick. Ewan Whillans’ gelding was last victorious in the Scottish Champion Hurdle off a 1lb higher mark and should be going close on that evidence. A winner of four of his six starts at Kelso, clearly the track suits him well.
Heltenham (11/1, bet365) has won three times in just five starts at Newbury and has also finished second on one occasion. One of those successes came in this very race two years ago and currently finds himself on just a 4lb higher rating. Winning off this mark at Perth in April, he’s more than capable of running a big race.
