Can Liam make it 3/3? 12-1 tip for the Becher Chase at Aintree on Saturday 🔥

Our last two weekend ante-post tips have been very successful, with Royale Pagaille winning the Betfair Chase and Datsalrightgino getting the job done at Newbury last weekend. There’s some awesome action to look forward to this Saturday and plenty of opportunities to complete the hat-trick. This week Liam Bramall has gone for a 12-1 shot in Aintree‘s Becher Chase. 2.05 Aintree (Saturday)

Houston Texas put in a career-best performance when winning nicely off a 7lb lower mark at Carlisle on seasonal debut last month. He’s a five-time winner in just 10 starts over fences but the best could be yet to come from this horse.

Soft ground is important for him and the rain is scheduled to come from Thursday onwards. The rain will need to come as it’s currently good to soft at Aintree, which is less than ideal. He’ll be out of the handicap if Coko Beach was to run but so will many in the field. However, this rather unique test could facilitate the requisite improvement.

It has been a disappointing week for northern racing, having lost the Grade 1 Fighting Fifth Hurdle to Sandown as a result of the weather. A big win in this £150,000 event would be the perfect tonic, as four of the first five in the market are southern raiders.

Trainer Nicky Richards has been in fine form in the last fortnight and is operating at a strike-rate of 44 per cent. He’s had four winners from his nine runners during this time and it would be a huge result if this lad was to get his head in front.
