Breeders’ Cup 2025 at Del Mar: a look at Aidan O’Brien’s team on Friday night

We are set for another stellar weekend of action in the US as the Breeders’ Cup 2025 kicks off at Del Mar on Friday. We will take a look at the main runners Aidan O’Brien will send out on Friday and make sure you check out our Breeders’ Cup tips on the website!

9.45pm Del Mar

Ballydoyle are set to send three to post for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and leading the way in the market is True Love under Wayne Lordan, who bids to follow up her fantastic win in the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket last time. Next in the betting is the Christophe Soumillion-ridden Brussels who is yet to win at pattern level but brings good form to the table, while Mission Central also can’t be discounted after winning the Champions Day Two-Year-Old Conditions Stakes at Ascot on latest.

11.05pm Del Mar

The heavy hitters will be getting their wads of cash out for the progressive Precise in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf. The daughter of Starspangledbanner hasn’t looked back since finishing second on her debut, winning a 7f Cork maiden before taking first place in a Group 3 at Goodwood before a pair of victories at Group 1 level when taking the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh and the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket. She will be tough to beat.

12.25am Del Mar

Another O’Brien-trained runner that is heavily fancied is Gstaad in the closing Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf. He beat True Love on his debut before winning the Coventry at Royal Ascot. Runner-up in Group 1 company on his last three starts, he has done nothing wrong in defeat and deserves his breakthrough at the top table.
